The following quote sums up my marketing philosophy.
To be in the classes, look at the masses and then do the exact opposite.
Far too many people play catch up in business. Look, what my competitor is doing. I should do that too.
Rather than playing catch up, think! If they’re all doing the same, then there’s nothing that differentiates them. I need to do something completely different to stand out. What can I do?
Stop looking for marketing ideas within your industry. Let your competitors do that. If you want stellar marketing ideas, look at businesses outside your industry. See how they do marketing. Then ask yourself, how can I incorporate that idea for my business.
Marketing, I believe is not something you do once and be done with it. Marketing is doing something every single day.
