How do I work with Clients?

The first step would consists of a phone call or a Skype chat. The purpose of this phone call is to discuss your business needs.

The second step consists of me sending you an email with a proposed solution to your problems along with a fee structure.

If you decide, it’s a good fit and wish to move forward, I will send you a formal agreement and this begins our working relationship.

How do I charge for my services?

I have two available options.

  1. You can hire me on a retainer
  2. Or, you can purchase prepaid blocks of time.

Hiring me on a retainer

This is usually a cost-effective solution for most small business owners. The retainer option is designed for a long-term working relationship.

The amount of required time is usually unknown on new projects. The first month is usually a test month. We will be a bit more fluid with hours and pricing and make necessary adjustments. We will roll over hours until we figure out a good balance. Once we determine the best retainer amount, we’ll keep it there and revisit only when needed. The billing cycle is bi-weekly.

As a retainer client, you will receive a daily touch-in from me, which means you’ll rarely go 24 hours without hearing from me on the work we’re doing together.

Prepaid blocks of time

This option is best suited for short-term projects or clients who want to test the waters before committing to a full-working relationship.

I usually prefer the new clients start with this option. It’s help everyone get to know each other before we commit for the long haul. Once we determine ourselves to be a good match, we can explore the retainer option.
